Doug Abrams has been a practicing trial lawyer for more than 20 years. Doug is a partner in the firm of Abrams & Abrams, P.A. in Raleigh, North Carolina. Doug currently represents plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury cases, tractor trailer wrecks, products liability or defective products cases, plant explosions and fire cases, business tort litigation, professional negligence, environmental torts, class actions, and other tort cases.
Doug has given numerous lectures and has written extensively on the subject of personal injury and tort law. Doug also has served as the President of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and has been active in the NCATL. Doug has also been active in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Doug has been selected for inclusion in a leading publication entitled

In addition to severe personal injury cases involving trucks and tractor trailers and other heavy equipment vehicles, and business tort cases, presently, Doug is serving as counsel in lawsuits against Smithfield Foods and others for environmental torts. As is stated in the pending litigation, these claims for relief are based on the significant pollution these Defendants have generated in the Neuse River, Cape Fear and New River systems. Doug is also counsel in a lawsuit seeing class action certification against Chrysler based on claims for relief that Chrysler engaged in a pattern of lemon laundering or reselling lemons without proper disclosures to consumers.
Doug grew up in Greenville, South Carolina in a family of lawyers. Doug's father was a trial lawyer in Greenville, South Carolina. Doug has a brother and sister who are lawyers. Margaret Abrams, Doug's wife, is also a lawyer and she practices in the firm of Abrams & Abrams, P.A. Margaret's father is a retired lawyer and her brother is also a trial lawyer in New Jersey.
